Following the severe rainfall events in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, residents are encouraged to:

  • Inspect and clean backwater valves
  • Maintain sump pumps with a battery backup
  • Photograph and document any damage before clean-up
  • File a Notice of Claim with the City within the statutory deadline
